CARAG Neighborhood Meeting

CARAG is a distinctive and exciting city neighborhood located just minutes from downtown Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes- including Lake Calhoun. The neighborhood includes a mix of single family homes, small and large apartment buildings, churches, a park and small businesses. The CARAG area is well known because part of the community lies within the trendy Uptown and Lyn Lake business nodes and near Lake Calhoun.  

CARAG is also the acronym for the Calhoun Area Residents Action Group, which is the neighborhood organization representing the area of Minneapolis bounded by Lake St. and W. 36th St to the north and south and Hennepin Ave and Lyndale Ave to the west and east. This land area took on the name of its’ neighborhood organization- “CARAG”
