NRP: What is NRP?

"The Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) is an innovative effort to bring residents into the priority-setting process of their city. It is based on the belief that the empowerment of residents and the mobilization of untapped resources, energy and creativity can make our progressive vision of the future a reality." Robert Miller, NRP Director

After gathering input from the community CARAG created the Phase I NRP Full Action Plan in 2001, which allocated $2.4 million in NRP resources to make neighborhood goals a reality. The plan addressed a variety of issues including housing, transportation, crime & safety, commuity beautification, education, arts and park improvements. CARAG is mostly done implementing this plan. The following documents provide more information about CARAG NRP Project and their progress.

We need your help!
The CARAG NRP Steering Committee is responsible for gathering input from CARAG neighbors about their priorities and how to spend approximately $600,000 for the CARAG NRP Phase II Action Plan. We need neighbors to join the NRP Steering Committee to help solicit feedback and ideas. Please contact CARAG if you would like to help or have input for the committee.
