NRP: What is NRP? “
The Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) is an innovative effort to bring residents into the priority-setting process of their city. It is based on the belief that the empowerment of residents and the mobilization of untapped resources, energy and creativity can make our progressive vision of the future a reality." CARAG has been participating in the NRP Program since the late 1990’s when the organization engaged neighbors about their priorities for the neighborhood. The gathering of ideas culminated in the development of the CARAG NRP Full Action Plan in 2001, which brings $2.4 million in NRP resources to help make neighborhood goals a reality. The plan addresses a variety of issues including housing, transportation, crime & safety, commuity beautification, education, arts and park improvements. See the plan or contact CARAG for more info.
We need your help! CARAG has several task force committees made up of volunteers dedicated to working on projects outlined in the Action Plan. Here is a list of the NRP Task Force Committees:
